Behind two flush chevron doors, the Milano 2 Door Cocktail Cabinet has a timber lower section and, above it, a mirrored back with two glass shelves, all in 1.57 metres of oak and oak veneer. If the kitchen is where people end up, this is where the glasses come out of, and it’s one of the cabinets we can talk you through at our Ballincollig showroom.

Will a wine bottle stand upright?

In the lowest section, yes: it’s 32.5cm high, and a standard 75cl wine bottle stands around 30cm. The spaces above are 20cm, 17.5cm and 16.8cm high, for glasses, tumblers, a shaker and the smaller bottles.

What are its measurements?

Leave room in front for both doors to swing open fully.

What’s it like inside?

Timber below, with a wooden shelf; above, a mirrored back and two glass shelves, 81cm wide and 36.2cm deep inside. The mirror doubles the glassware and throws a little light back into the room.

Does it belong in a kitchen?

It can. At 43cm deep it’s shallower than a kitchen unit, and it keeps glasses and bottles off the worktop and out of the cook’s way, so people help themselves without anyone stepping round the person at the hob.

Should it be fixed to the wall?

With glass shelves inside and 1.57 metres of height, it’s worth fixing to the wall. Ask and we’ll tell you what fixings are included.

Does it come assembled?

Legs only. It comes in one box, about 62kg packed.

Can I see the finish in person?

We can show you the chevron oak finish in the showroom at Heritage Walk, The Quadrants, Ballincollig, Co. Cork, P31 W968, and tell you whether the cabinet itself is out that week. Monday to Saturday, 9.30am–5pm; closed Sundays; no appointment. Get directions

Allow around four weeks. Delivered across Cork and nationwide, or collected from the showroom in Ballincollig at no charge. We’ll confirm your delivery date before you pay.
