Milano Coffee Table

One metre square of chevron oak for the whole group to share.

The Milano Coffee Table is the square sibling of the Milano 2 Drawer. It gives up the drawers for size: a full 100cm by 100cm top at 40cm high, in oak and rustic oak veneers with the same inlaid chevron design and matt lacquer. The 2 Drawer is the tidy one for a narrower room; this is the gathering table, square enough that people on three sides all reach the middle.

Will I see knots in the oak?

Yes. Rustic oak veneers show the natural grain and knots; that's part of the look.

How much room does a metre-square table need?

Allow about 45cm all round for legroom and walking past. In a narrower room, the 100 × 65cm 2 Drawer may sit better.

Is the matt lacquer practical?

It keeps the oak looking natural and dry while giving it a protective finish. Wipe spills promptly and use coasters for cold glasses.

What goes with it

The Milano Side Table and Milano Supper Table carry the chevron oak to the end of the sofa, and the Milano Console Table to the wall behind it.
