Cirella Side Table Verde

Green-glazed ridged concrete, at lounge-chair height.

Honestly: at 45cm the Cirella is a low table. Beside a deep modern sofa with a high arm you will be reaching down to it. If you want a table that stands above the arm of a tall sofa, look at the Soho or the Milano at 60cm. If your sofa is low, or the table is going beside a lounge chair or at the end of a bed, this height will suit you.

The Cirella in verde is a side table 40cm wide, 40cm deep and 45cm high, cast in glass-fibre reinforced concrete with a bold ridged pattern and a sectioned top under a green glaze. It arrives in one box, made up, no assembly, and weighs 27kg. When people come over it is the small heavy table beside the chair by the fire: the glass goes on it, nobody knocks it, and the green sits with almost every wood and most upholstery.

What shade of green is verde?

A mid green, deeper than sage and softer than bottle green, with the glaze giving it a little movement across the ridges.

Does it match the cream and rust?

Same casting, same size, different glaze. Any two of the three read as a pair.

How do I clean it?

A damp cloth. The glaze wipes clean; the ridges want a cloth run along them rather than across.

Is concrete cold to touch?

Cool, like stone, and it stays cool. It does not feel damp or rough; the glaze gives it a smooth skin.

What goes with it

The Cirella Side Table Cream and the Cirella Side Table Rust are the other two glazes. Verde beside the fire and cream beside the sofa is a pairing that works in most living rooms.
